JANUARY 6

Friday was the league opener for the JV girls. They knew this game would be tough and CP stepped up to the plate. Although they dominated possession and had several shots on goal they could not hit net. Defensively the Falcons managed to head off every breakaway to keep the score tied 0-0. 

JANUARY 4

The Falcons traveled to Freedom to play on Wednesday January 4. CP dominated possession and play. The Falcons tucked one in the first half after the ball bounced around the feet of the Freedom defenders. CP had their second goal with two attackers charging the ball and the goalie. Great Job Ladies!

DECEMBER 15

With a record of 6 wins 1 loss  and 2 ties the JV girls soccer team is off to an impressive start. They have two tournaments and several games under their belt. Most recent games were: 8-0 victory over El Cerrito HS, 10-0 win over Hayward HS.

 

On December 14th they had a close match against Heritage HS. College Park scored in the first minute only to be equaled by Heritage. With a 1-1 tie for the remainder of the first half and most of the second, the Falcons rallied with 2 more to take the 3-1 victory over Heritage.

 

The Falcons have games over the Christmas break and will start their League games on January 6 against Acalanes. Game times are 5pm, JV and 7pm, Varsity. 

DECEMBER 31

The JV girls soccer team was busy over the Christmas break playing three tough games. 

 

The first game against former league rival Northgate was evenly matched and was looking like it was going to end in a tie when a late game breakaway gave the Falcons a 1-0 victory.

 

Next they traveled to Castro Valley to face the Trojans. The Falcons displaying great teamwork pulled out a 2-0 victory. Making their record 10 wins 1 loss and 2 ties.

 

On December  29 they faced the Liberty Lions. The game was evenly matched unfortunately the Lions tucked one in late in the first half. Final score Liberty 1 Falcons 0.
